Year of 2016 was stable for Bashkiria - Government RB

UFA, 8 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The year of 2016 proved to be stable for Bashkiria, however, additional measures are needed for further sustainable development. This was reported at a meeting of the Government Commission for Sustainable Development of Economy and Social Stability.

Among the issues under discussion there was a transition of apartment buildings to individual heating systems, yards accomplishment on the program "Formation of Comfortable Urban Environment", Bashkortostan participation in programs to provide housing for the needy citizens and sustainable development of rural areas.

A key item on the agenda of the meeting was summing up the implementation of the last year's Comprehensive Plan for Sustainable Development of Economy and Social Stability.

According to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Bashkortostan Gulnara Shafikova, measures of the anti-crisis plan allowed to achieve in 2016 the planned values in a number of important indicators. A positive trend in industrial and agricultural production was reached, wage growth was provided.

In addition, the planned value of the housing construction volume was achieved, profits of cost efficient enterprises increased, the plan of consolidated budget revenues of the republic was exceeded.

However, there was a decrease of 2.6 percent by volume of construction works. The retail trade turnover decreased by 3.9 percent. It was not managed to fulfill the plan in terms of investment growth, the press service of the Government RB informs.

In accordance with the instruction of the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov regarding follow-on revision of the Comprehensive Plan given in 2016, the republican ministries and departments submitted their proposals on the adjustment of the planned activities.

It is planned to supplement it with 23 items. The draft of the updated document is planned to be submitted for consideration to the Government of Bashkortostan before March 1.
