Bashkortostan is leader in eggs production in Russia

UFA, 31 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan keeps the lead in growth of egg production in Russia.

According to the Agriculture Ministry RF, the main increase in egg production was obtained in Bashkortostan, as well as in Rostov, Voronezh, Yaroslavl and Belgorod regions last year.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, production of eggs in Bashkortostan increased by 18.7 percent compared with 2015 and reached 1.114 billion pieces. The agricultural enterprises of the region produced 842 million pieces (128.6 percent), peasant-farms - 18 million pieces (96 percent), private farms - 254 million pieces (96 percent).

Production of poultry for slaughter in live weight amounted to 6.16 million tons in all categories of the Russian enterprises. This is by 2.1 percent more than in 2015.

As for Bashkortostan, there are now more than 11.5 million heads of poultry in all categories of farms. 70.5 thousand tons of poultry were delivered for slaughter in live weight with an increase of three percentage points compared to 2015.

The largest poultry companies in the republic today are the "Bashkir Broiler", "Blagovarsky", "Bashkir Goose" and "Altyn Kazakh" and the "Russian Grain" company, which incorporates such poultry farms as "Bashkirskaya", "Turbaslinskie Broilery", "Ashkadarskaya", "Ufimskaya", "Tuimazinskaya", "Yubileinaya", Ufa bread plant and Trade House "Russian Grain".
