Bashkiria ranked ninth in Russia in terms of own-produced shipped goods

UFA, 31 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. According to preliminary data for the year 2016, Bashkortostan took the ninth place among the Russian regions in the industrial sector with 1.9 trillion rubles and 2.2 percent of the Russian volume of own-produced shipped goods, works and services.

The industrial sector of the republic is characterized by positive trends, higher than national average. The production index in the past year, compared with 2015, in Bashkortostan amounted to 102.6 percent compared to 101.1 percent on average across Russia.

Bashkortostan still holds the lead in the production of light petroleum products, soda ash, benzene, polymer materials for flooring, walls and ceiling, thermally polished glass, twisted wire, trailers for trucks, recreational vessels and concrete mixer trucks. And, moreover, it is the only manufacturer of truck-mounted concrete pumps.

The republic ranks second among Russian regions in terms of volume of primary oil refining, production of plastics, ethylene, xylene, styrene, synthetic rubber, roofing and waterproofing materials, steel wire, hoists and lifts.

It is in the third place for production of caustic soda, technological lime, sulfur, tank trailers and semitrailers-tanks for petroleum derivatives, water and other liquids.
