Ufa will host first this year agricultural fair

UFA, 27 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. On February 4, the first this year agricultural fair will take place in Ufa. Sales of meat, honey, dairy products and vegetables below market prices will be held in front of the Palace of Youth.

The city administration press service told that agricultural fairs have been held for more than 20 years in Ufa.

The main objectives of such fairs is provision Ufa residents with quality products directly from those who produce them, restraining price increase, as well as support republican agricultural producers.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, last year in Ufa 237 agricultural fairs were conducted, including thematic - "Everything for Gardening", "Berry Basket" and "Honey Land".

The total value of agricultural production brought for selling exceeded 600 million rubles.

In 2016 Ufa residents were offered at fairs 4507 tons of potatoes, 2688.7 tons of onions, carrots, cabbage and beetroot, and 347.7 tons of honey, 1262.7 tons of beef, pork, lamb, horsemeat and 105.8 tons of poultry meat. During the year, farmers and owners of family household from 45 districts of the republic presented their products to Ufa townspeople. The total number of weekend fair visitors exceeded 450 thousand people in Ufa.
