Rustem Khamitov visited BashInkom Research and Innovation Company

On January 26, in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited the BashInkom Research and Innovation Company, which produces more than 14.5 thousand tons of biological preparations and bioactivated fertilizers per year. According to the BashInkom Director Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, it exceeds the volume of production of most biotech companies in Russia, CIS and European countries, with an annual production growth of up to 30 percent.

Currently BashInkom produces more than 250 kinds of bio-products, which are applied over an area of 4.5 million hectares, including 350 thousand hectares of arable land of Bashkortostan. Biological preparations and bioactivated fertilizers under the BashInkom brand name are in demand in more than 60 regions of Russia and the CIS countries, Baltic countries, far abroad. Every year more than 300 tons of bio-products are exported.

Vyacheslav Kuznetsov said that about 400 people worked at the plant. The production facilities are located in Kumertau, Blagoveshchensk and Ufa. The total turnover is about 1 billion rubles.

The Head of the Republic familiarized with all stages of production, visited the shop of submerged cultivation, phytophysiology, plant pathology and breeding of microorganisms laboratories and agrochemical research and production laboratories, warehouse storage of finished products.

The Director of the company said that high-yield environmental biotechnology had been developed there based on biological products and bioactivated fertilizers - anti-stress high-yielding agriculture (AVZ). It can significantly improve crop yields by an average of 15-25 percent. Furthermore, this technology provides ecological cleanness of products.

The Head of the Region discussed with the BashInkom leadership prospects of the enterprise development, the need for state support, application of AVZ technology. However, according to Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, farmers in the region expect a rapid effect, while full results are available only after two or three seasons. Rustem Khamitov marked the necessity to work in more close contact with the Ministry of Agriculture RB, and to introduce biotechnology more actively in activities of agricultural enterprises.
