Bashkortostan Republic and Rosneft signed cooperation agreement

UFA, 25 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency,Alexander Smirnov/. The Republic of Bashkortostan and OJSC Rosneft Oil Company signed a Cooperation Agreement establishing the general principles of cooperation between the parties. The document was signed by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin.

As the press service of the Head of the Republic informs, the Agreement is aimed at implementing by the parties industrial, financial and social programs that will contribute to the integrated development of the region, as well as will create favourable conditions for economic activities. It emphasizes social orientation of the decisions and operations in it.

The republic and the company intend to cooperate in the sphere of production – carrying out joint projects for the construction and modernization of petrochemical facilities and creating favourable conditions for exploration and production of hydrocarbons.

The Agreement pays a particular attention to providing consumers of the Republic of Bashkortostan with quality petroleum products, development of retail network of the company, production and application of modern road binders, fulfilling projects on road infrastructure development taking into account the growing needs of the car transport in the region. Cooperation in the field of import substitution of lubricants and special liquids in industry and transport will serve the same purpose.

The document also provides for joined efforts in the field of energy efficiency, education, scientific and technical activities, import substitution issues, localization of engineering and technology.
