Bashkiria's Government signed cooperation agreement with Russian Railways

UFA, 25 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Bashkortostan Government signed a cooperation agreement with JSC "Russian Railways" until 2019. The document was signed by the Prime Minister of the Government RB Rustem Mardanov and the head of Kuibyshev railway - branch of JSC "Russian Railways" Rashid Saibatalov.

As the head of Kuibyshev Railway Rashid Saibatalov informs, the Russian Railways are interested in "expanding its product line to make shippers interested in working with us".

The volume of cargo transportation in Bashkortostan slightly, but increased unlike in other regions, as well as the number of passengers, and "primarily suburban ones".

Among the innovations reflected in the document – there is growing traffic volume associated with the commissioning of new plants. It is primarily related to "Kronospan" woodworking company in the Ufa region.

A construction of a second slab track on the route Dema - Iglino of "Ufa" station southern bypass is no less important for the republic in case of increase in freight.

"It is also significant for us to complete the railway station reconstruction in Ufa by 2019 – to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Another important area is updating commuter trains. There are some matters related to safety on the railway. I am confident that today's agreement provides a basis for the successful solution of pressing issues", Rustem Mardanov underlined.
