Bashkiria has received 1.1 billion rubles for second stage construction of River White embankment in Ufa

UFA, 24 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Our republic has received another 1.1 billion rubles from the federal budget for the implementation of the second stage construction of the embankment of the river White in Ufa. Another 1.3 billion are allocated from the republican budget, 63 million – from the city one. In general, the cost of construction of the property second stage amounted to 2.5 billion rubles.

The project envisages four stages. The main task of builders is to construct a reliable bank-fixing line with length of 5 km. This requires a whole range of measures, the Ministry of Environment RB explains. This is reconstruction of existing engineering structures and building new ones. "We expect a huge effect from them: the bank protection will prevent damage amounting to almost 13 billion rubles. The embankment will guard more than 1,700 residents living in the area against the flood and its aftermath - dangerous physical and geological processes", the department reports.

The project is included in the list of 100 social projects built for the 100th anniversary of our republic.
