Bashkiria is leader in attracting federal funds to support entrepreneurship in single-industry towns

UFA, 23 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Bashkortostan leads in attracting federal funds to support entrepreneurship in the single-industry towns. Recently in Moscow a competition for the distribution of subsidies to regional budgets for the state support of small and medium-sized businesses was held. The State Committee RB for Entrepreneurship and Tourism for the second year took the first place in terms of received funds to support small businesses in single-industry towns.

All six single-industry towns of the republic - Kumertau, Neftekamsk, Uchaly, Belebey, Beloretsk Blagoveshchensk took part in the competition for federal subsidies. As a result, the total amount of subsidies totaled more than 130 million rubles.

According to preliminary data of municipalities, direct financial support (subsidies and grants) was received by more than 180 small and medium-sized businesses, which created more than 470 new jobs and saved about 2,500 existing jobs.

As a result of competition for the support of small and medium-sized business Bashkortostan attracted more than 255 million rubles from the federal budget. Of these, 53 million rubles will be spent for creation and development of entrepreneurial microfinance institutions, 5 million rubles for creation and development of a Social Innovations Centre, 30 million rubles for establishing and developing a Business Support Center, 11,2 million - for activities to involve young people in entrepreneurship, 26 million for creation and development of a Regional Engineering Centre, 130 million rubles to support small and medium-sized businesses in single-industry towns.
