Ministry of Labour predicts wage growth in 2017

UFA, 18 January 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The salary of Russians, according to the Ministry of Labour forecasts, will grow in 2017. The head of the department Maxim Topilin said about this in his interview to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".
"Wages, according to our estimates, will increase", the minister said noting that the increase would affect "not only nominal, but real" wages.
"At the end of 2016, we are likely to see an increase in real wages", said Maxim Topilin.
In his opinion "the implementation of presidential decrees on increase in public sector wages will also contribute to it".
Furthermore, in 2017 year, according to Topilin Maxim, unemployment growth is not predicted.
"Most likely, it will fluctuate within the parameters of 2016", he said. "At least, there are no current preconditions for a sharp change in the situation". He also marked that "the time for raising the retirement age has not come yet".
According to RBC, in late December last year the experts of HeadHunter and Superjob websites reported that in 2017 salaries of employees would be increased by eight percent, while the number of vacancies would show five percent growth.
