Non-food products will be also labelled with "Product of Bashkortostan" mark

UFA, 7 December 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Republican State Committee for Trade is planning to expand the range of products marked with "Product of Bashkortostan". They want to approve its use not only in food but also in non-food products. The reason is applications from republican enterprises-producers received by the State Committee.

As stated in the explanation to the project, it is also necessary due to insufficient products representation in the market.

The corresponding draft resolution of the Government of the Republic is now undergoing the necessary approvals, RBC-Ufa reports.

The "Product of Bashkortostan" project was launched in March 2013. Companies applying for participation in the project pass several stages of quality control, including by the independent laboratory "Test Centre" state-financed entity. A product quality is monitored every three months.

The voluntary labeling task is to assist in promotion of products made in the region into domestic and international markets.
