10 banks stopped operating in Bashkiria year to date

UFA, 28 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. From the beginning of the year, two credit institutions entered the Bashkir market. 10 banks from other regions stopped their operations, four of which - in connection with the revocation of licenses to conduct banking operations. This was reported by the press service of the Department - National Bank in Bashkortostan of the Ural Main Directorate of the Central Bank of Russia.

As of November 1, 75 credit institutions operated in Bashkortostan, five of which - the republican institutions.

For the first nine months of this year, the number of banking units decreased by 169 units in the region.

According to the latest data of the National Bank, 1116 banking units are available in the republic.

Thus Bashkortostan remains in the top five leading regions in number of banking units in Russia.
