Preparations for upcoming Ufa Small Business Forum of SCO and BRICS was discussed in Moscow
UFA, 23 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Moscow, the TASS News Agency hosted a press conference devoted to the forthcoming 2nd Forum of Small Business of Regions of the SCO and BRICS member states, which will take place in the Bashkir capital from December 1 to 2.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Dmitry Sharonov, the head of the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism RB Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and business support organizations answered the questions of the journalists.
The forum is expected to unite nearly one thousand participants from 30 regions of Russia and 10 countries of the SCO and BRICS, the press service of the Government of Bashkortostan informs.
According to organizers, the main topics for discussion in Ufa will be creation of an optimal business environment for intensification of interregional cooperation of Russian entrepreneurs with foreign partners, as well as financial and infrastructure support for small business, expansion of the SMEs share in public procurement, development of youth entrepreneurship and ability to create a single market for goods and services of the SCO and BRICS.
The "Strategy 2030" was announced at the press conference, which implies a 2.5 times increase in export revenues from the activities of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia by 2030.
According to the speakers it is estimated that there are all prerequisites for the expansion of Russians employed small business. Up to 25 percent of the active population could be engaged in it.
To achieve this goal it is necessary to eliminate a number of problems, the speakers believe. Among such problems are excessive taxation, shortage of business ideas and competencies.
