Italians highly appreciated Bashkortostan potential in cheese manufacture

UFA, 3 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan was visited by representatives of the Italian companies MiRare and GEA spa. Entrepreneurs in the field of corporate and environmental certification, executives of dairy-food areas and cheese equipment manufacturers, studied a project for Italian cheeses production in the territory of Bashkortostan with the use of local raw materials.

Within two days, November 1 and 2, members of the delegation visited production and technical facilities of Ilishevo and Bakaly Districts.

"We saw excellent management and use of raw materials, which cannot be said about other regions of Russia", the Italian specialists marked at a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Irek Mukhametdinov.

In their view, it is very high quality of milk in the republic. It can serve as an excellent base for the creation of large enterprises for its processing. Currently, one of the largest Russian producers - Belebey Dairy Plant - monthly produces more than one thousand tons of cheese. However, this is not enough for the republic.

According to the chairman of the "Milk Union of Bashkortostan" Ildar Faizullin, "a niche of expensive high-quality cheeses is currently free". Therefore, participants of the meeting agreed to discuss this topic in more detail, after considering all options, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs.
