Bashkiria experience will be considered at BRICS forum in India

UFA, 2 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan experience will be considered among the best proactive budgeting practices at the BRICS countries forum. The International Conference "Proactive Budgeting at the Local Level" will be held from November 3 to 5 in India, which this year is a presiding country of the association.

Bashkortostan at the forum is represented by the Prime Minister of the Government of the republic Rustem Mardanov, Minister of Finance RB Rida Subkhankulova and the head of the Uchaly administration Farit Davletgareev.

The official Russian delegation includes the World Bank experts, employees of the Research Institute of the financial Ministry of Finance, representatives of a number of Russian regions with the best experience of proactive budgeting.

In-depth discussion of proactive budgeting mechanisms, international experience, as well as innovative approaches and prospects of development of this direction will be held at the conference.

According to the Finance Ministry, Bashkortostan is one of the leading regions in proactive budgeting practices implementation. Due to active work on involving citizens in the budget process Bashkortostan became one of 26 pilot entities to participate in the federal project of the Russian Finance Ministry and the World Bank "Proactive Budgeting Development in the Russian Federation in 2016-2018".

This year 300.7 million rubles are allocated from the republican budget for implementation of public infrastructure projects based on local initiatives. In the future, this practice will be continued.
