Bashkir farmers received government support for 855 million rubles

UFA, 2 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Bashkir farmers received government support for 855 million rubles from the beginning of the year. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of RB Nikolay Kovalenko at a business-marathon dedicated to the development of small businesses. Farmers of Bashkortostan actively use all kinds of government assistance granted: the republic is in the fifth place in the country on this indicator. Since the beginning of the year the volume of various subsidies amounted to 885 million rubles. The main share falls on the crop production (220 million rubles) and various grants.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture RB, for the last five years 653 farms received support from the federal and republican budgets in the amount of 1.19 billion rubles. Their number and the volume of produce, respectively, significantly increased since the beginning of the program "New Farmer" and "Family Cattle Farms", the Minister said. More than 70 percent of grants receivers organized business from their private farms. "This is a huge reservoir of people who are now involved in organized production, with opportunities to earn. In many settlements, farmers carry social and economic burden: they are engaged in landscaping, employ villagers. Thanks to them, rural areas are doing well", said Nikolai Kovalenko.
