"Accessible Environment" state program for people with disabilities is adopted in Bashkortostan

UFA, 1 November 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The draft state program "Accessible Environment in the Republic of Bashkortostan" designed for 2017-2022 was approved at a meeting of the Presidium of the Government RB. It is reported by the press-service of the Government.

The "Accessible Environment in the Republic of Bashkortostan" state program is the main instrument of implementing measures to improve the accessibility of facilities and services in priority areas of life of persons with disabilities. The program funding will be carried out at the expense of the republican budget - 131.2 million rubles. Thus it is expected to attract subsidies from the federal budget and the budgets of municipalities.

It is planned that by 2022 due to the implementation of the state program 72,5 percent of priority social facilities will be available to people with disabilities.

Within the framework of the state program it is planned to further adapt 95 facilities, and thus to increase their number to 495 among 682 priority social facilities of the republic. In addition, the program provides to cover with rehabilitation services up to 30 percent of children with developmental disabilities under the age of four years. This will reduce the risk of disability occurrence.
