It is planned to suspend indexing maternity capital until 2020

UFA, 26 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Russia plans to suspend annual indexing of the maternity capital size taking into account the rate of inflation until January 1, 2020.

The maternal capital, as opposed to benefits, which provide the transition to actual inflation, is not a monthly payment providing the current purchase of goods and services to citizens.

Currently, the size of the maternity capital is 453,026 rubles. The maternity capital program operates since 2007. Then the size of this type of payment was 250 thousand rubles.

Initially, it was established that the maternity capital program would operate till 2016. However, on December 30, 2015, the Federal Law "On Amendments to Article 13 of the Federal Law "On additional measures of state support for families with children" No. 433-FZ was adopted, which extended the program for two years - by 31 December 2018.

Therefore, in the draft budget of the Russian Pension Fund 330.2 billion rubles were allocated for the payment of maternity capital in the following year. In 2018 the sum will be 344.7 billion rubles. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Bashkortostan.

According to the Pension Fund Directorate in Bashkortostan, from the beginning of the program more than 250 thousand families of the republic received certificates for maternity capital.
