First results of All-Russian Agricultural Census are summed up

UFA, 26 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Rosstat (the Federal State Statistics Service) summed up the first results of the All-Russian Agricultural Census.
According to the statistics, the main stage of the All-Russian Agricultural Census 2016 was successful. The percentage of non-participation in it was minimal, and the general attitude of the respondents - friendly.
The first figures suggest significant structural changes in the domestic agricultural sector.
The statistical observation is still ongoing. The census carrying out in remote and inaccessible areas is ahead.
"During the All-Russian Agricultural Census last from July 1 to August 15 in most parts of the country the detailed statistics data were gathered on 36.4 thousand agricultural organizations, 174.8 thousand peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs, 18.2 million farm households and other individual farms of citizens, 76.3 thousand of non-profit associations of citizens", said the head of the Federal State Statistics Service, Alexander Surinov.
Successful completion of the Agricultural Census 2016, low rate of refuses and overall friendly attitude of the respondents are considered by the Rosstat as a natural result of the joint work of the federal service and the territorial bodies of statistics, legislative and executive authorities at all levels, local governments, district administrations, public order services and the census takers. The important role was played by the systematic outreach activities with the public and the media.
The development of Internet technologies, including web-collection system greatly facilitated the collection and subsequent processing of the statistical data.
"In the course of this census the percentage of respondents reporting information in electronic form, was 26.8 percent in the category of agricultural organizations, 11.7 percent in the category of micro-enterprises, 13.2 percent in the category of farm households of non-agricultural organizations", the Rosstat head marked.
Rosstat will start summing up the final results of the Agricultural Census after the completion of its last stage - the census in remote and inaccessible areas, which will last until November 15, 2016.
Rosstat will present the first volume with the preliminary results of the Agricultural Census in Russia in October 2017, the second - with the data on the entities of the Russian Federation - will be published in November of the same year.
The final results of the All-Russia Agricultural Census 2016, presented in eight volumes, will be published from May to December 2018.
