Four Bashkiria cities will be able to implement investment projects with Monocities Development Fund participation
UFA, 24 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Beloretsk, Neftekamsk, Uchaly and Blagoveshchensk are included in the approved list of nine Russian single-industry towns, which can implement investment projects with participation of the Monocities Development Fund. The list was approved by the Working Group on the Monocities Modernization under the Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration.
The next step will be signing of the General Agreement between Bashkortostan and the Fund on cooperation in single-industry municipalities’ development of the 2nd and 3rd category economy structure.
As explained in the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan, the agreement will allow making conditions to attract investment and create new jobs that are not related to the activities of the town-forming enterprises.
Previously, the Bashinform News Agency reported that Bashkortostan already has positive experience of the PDAs creation in monocities of Kumertau and Belebey. Management teams of these cities have been trained at the Moscow "Skolkovo" Management School on the program of the Monocities Development Fund and have already successfully defended their projects. Currently, the process on awarding them the PDA status is under approval of the RF Government.
