Russian Energy Ministry named Ufa innovation capital in energy sector

UFA, 21 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak named Ufa the capital of innovations in energy sector.
"Bashkortostan is a region that gives a great potential for energy development in the country", he said at the Russian Energy Forum in Ufa.
According to the Minister, innovations in the oil and gas industry, electricity generation are inevitable, and renewable energy sources every year "will take greater and greater share" of the market.
A similar view is shared by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.
"We are moving in the right direction in the development of innovations," he stated at the Russian Energy Forum. "With regard to the solar energy, it is, of course, an entirely new industry for us. We are working in this area for only a year. I hope that the installed capacity of all solar power plants in Bashkortostan will reach about 100 MW".
As Rustem Khamitov emphasized at the forum, the region suffers from a lack of power capacities. Construction of a series of major objects is impossible due to this. This is especially true for Trans-Urals regions.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, in Kuyurgazy District of Bashkortostan the second stage of Bugulchanskaya solar power plant was launched. The first stage of Bugulchanskaya solar power plant was put into operation in December last year. Today the second stage of 5 MW started operating. By the end of the year it is scheduled to commission the third stage, after which the power plant will reach its full capacity - 15 MW.
The facility investor is "Avelar Solar Technology" LLC, which is a subsidiary of the Hevel company (joint venture of "Renova" company and JSC "RUSNANO").
The Bugulchanskaya SPP is a part of the solar power plants network, which the Hevel company plans to build in Bashkortostan in the coming years.
Total Hevel company will build eight solar generation facilities with overall capacity of 64 MW in Bashkortostan. The total volume of investments will exceed 6 billion rubles.
