Bashkortostan residents increasingly purchase cars on credit

UFA, 21 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Bashkortostan, growth in number of car loans continued. In the third quarter of the year 6659 vehicles were purchased on borrowed funds in the republic.

According to the National Bureau of Credit Histories and the «Autostat» agency, 10,524 cars were sold in the region for the second quarter of 2016, of which 6017 - on credit. Then, 57.2 percent of vehicles were purchased with borrowed funds. In the third quarter of this year this figure reached 60.3 percent. The growth of car loans in relation to the second quarter amounted to 11.5 percent. With these data the region entered the top 10 subjects with the largest sales market.

Experts note that nationwide car loans issuance decreased slightly compared to the same period of the last year. In the third quarter of 2016 it was issued by two percent less than in the same period of 2015. However, in monetary terms, sales of "credit" cars increased by 18.4 percent.

"The record increase in the share of "credit" cars in the market structure is largely due to the implementation of the state program of interest rates and information about its soon possible completion. However car loans for banks are one of the most attractive products in retail lending, and for citizens - one of the most affordable ways to purchase cars", said the executive director of the Autostat analytical agency Sergei Udalov.
