Bashkortostan Finance Ministry participates in proactive budgeting discussion in Moscow
UFA, 19 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Finance Minister RB Rida Subkhankulova and the Deputy Minister of Finance Natalia Kalugina participate in the 2nd All-Russian Conference on proactive budgeting. The forum opened in Moscow today under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the World Bank and the Committee of Civil Initiatives.
It is attended by the leaders and the finance ministers from a number of Russian regions, heads and employees of municipal administrations, the World Bank experts, and representatives of the scientific community and the public.
Presentations of the best practices in proactive budgeting activity in the regions, including Bashkortostan will be held. Due to active work on involving citizens in the budget process our republic was among 26 pilot entities to participate in the project of the federal Ministry of Finance and the World Bank "Proactive Budgeting Development in the Russian Federation in 2016-2018".
In 2016, 300.7 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the republic for the implementation of public infrastructure projects based on local initiatives.
661 projects from different cities and districts of Bashkortostan applied for financial assistance from the regional treasury. 487 of them were recognized winners of the competitive selection and will receive the budgetary co-financing.
