Foreign trade turnover grew in volume and decreased in cost in Bashkortostan

UFA, 13 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. In Bashkortostan a foreign trade turnover increased in volume and decreased in monetary terms. The Republican Customs summed up the results of nine months. At a press conference in Bashinform News Agency the Chief of the Department Marat Safiullin informed that during this period, the trade turnover with foreign countries decreased by 20 percent, but increased by 28 percent in physical volume. In value terms, the turnover amounted to more than $ 1 billion: $ 755.6 million - export and $ 250.3 million - import.

The traditional leading exporters were UMPO, Salavat "Enterprise of Industrial Railway Transport", "Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant", "Bashkir Soda Company", "Bashneft", "Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant", "Synthez Kauchuk", "Ufa Plywood Plant", "Accord" (metal trade). 40 percent of exports amounted to chemicals: styrene, synthetic rubber, nitrogen fertilizers, soda ash, Agidol. 30 percent of sales abroad were accounted for UMPO aircraft engines.

The situation is similar with imports. Engineering products take its half volume. Bashkir enterprises purchased poultry equipment, compressors and an elevator complex. 30 percent of foreign purchases were - chemicals: catalysts, adsorbents, PVC resin, polyethylene, Trigonox. Food products were accounted for 2.6 percent of imports - packing enterprises bought tomato paste.

The main buyers of imported products were the companies "Bashneft", "Salavatneftehimremstroy", "Turbaslinskie Broilers", "Elevator", "RSH", "BSC", "HeidelbergCement Rus", "Inman" Ishimbay.
