Bashkiria sugar factories procured about 530 thousand tons of raw beet

UFA, 11 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan sugar beet was harvested in 67 percent of areas.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture RB, sugar beet was harvested on an area of over 34 thousand hectares in the republic.

About 808,000 tons of root crops were received in the region with an average yield of 237 centners per hectare (last year - 251 centners). The considerable part of these crops is accounted for Blagovar, Buzdyak and Chishmy districts where from 103 to 113 thousand tons of sugar beet was collected.

Today sugar factories of Bashkortostan procured more than 526 000 tons of raw beet. Approximately 250 thousand tons of them were processed, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB reports.
