Liliya Gumerova: "Light industry becomes massively important in import substitution"

The Senator from Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova took part in the opening of the specialized exhibition "LegProm" (Light Industry) specialized exhibition in Ufa. The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture marked that for 20 years from a small exhibition the event had evolved into a major venue for establishing and developing business contacts and displaying the best light industry products manufactured by Russian producers.

The MP recalled that in April 2016 the representatives of the light industry of Bashkortostan took part in the meeting with the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and women - business leaders "Women in Business". The deputy of the State Assembly RB Zuhra Ismagilova made proposals regarding the light industry development. She outlined the specific challenges in the industry - an extremely rare internship of students at production facilities, insufficient number of skilled workers, necessity to revive social support of young professionals.

Liliya Gumerova noted that at the federal level many of the republican proposals for the development of light industry had been supported and accepted by federal agencies for their further development.

The Senator stressed that the "LegProm" exhibition not only promoted cooperation between trade and manufacturers for sale of goods in the territory of Bashkortostan, but also gave visitors an opportunity to buy the best light industry goods at reasonable prices.
