Bashkortostan delegation completed its work at "Sochi-2016" International Investment Forum

UFA, 3 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. The delegation of Bashkortostan led by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov, has completed its work at the "Sochi-2016" International Investment Forum.

A cooperation agreement of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the Ulyanovsk region was signed as part of the forum for the interregional cooperation development. The document was signed by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov.

Also, a memorandum on cooperation in the development of greenhouse vegetable production between the Government RB and the Idromeccanica Lucchini S.p.A. (Italy), an agreement on cooperation in the development of social services for senior citizens and persons with disabilities between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB and non-profit partnership "Older Generation World" were signed.

A number of meetings with the heads of the regions, representatives of major Russian and foreign business were held, during which the prospects of joint projects implementation in the territory of Bashkortostan were discussed.

At a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation on Strategic Development and Priority Projects, carried out by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Rustem Khamitov reported about the implementation of measures for single-industry town development in Bashkortostan.

The members of our delegation took part in panel discussions and sessions on topics such as the growth of the export potential of the regions, forming advanced development areas, introduction of public-private partnerships, development of anti-crisis plans, operation of development institutions and others.

"Participation in such a representative forum was very useful for our delegation. I think that the best national practices and achievements can be successfully implemented in our work, in the work of the Government ", said Rustem Khamitov.

The "Sochi-2016" International Investment Forum was initiated in 2002 to discuss the issues of attracting investments to the regions. It is held annually with the support of the Russian Government. The events of the Forum are attended by about 10 thousand people from 25 countries, including representatives of the Russian Federation entities.
