Bashkiria continues to lead in eggs production in Russia

UFA, 23 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Bashkortostan keeps its lead in growth of egg production in Russia. The top five also includes the Rostov and Belgorod region, Perm and Krasnodar Territory.

Nationwide in the first eight months of this year, egg production increased by 3.1 percent - to 22.4 billion pieces. It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan.

Production of poultry for slaughter in live weight in agricultural organizations in Russia during the same period amounted to 3.7 million tons. This is by 4.1 percent, or 146.7 thousand tons more than a year ago.

The greatest increase in poultry meat production in January-August this year was reached in the Stavropol region, the Bryansk and Penza regions, as well as in Mordovia and Chuvashia.
