Rustem Khamitov has met with Volga Customs Directorate Chief Sergei Rybkin

On September 20, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with Chief of Volga Customs Directorate Sergei Rybkin at the House of the Republic. The sides discussed the issues of improving customs procedures, including implementation of international investment projects.

Sergei Rybkin thanked the Head of the Region for an opportunity to hold an international meeting with colleagues from the Harbin Regional Customs (China) in Ufa.

The experiment is carried out at Bashkortostan Customs on simplifying registration and electronic transit in order to reduce the time for completion and delivery of goods to the regions, Sergei Rybkin informed. In addition, the Customs E-Filing Centre located in Ufa is now evaluated.

“Analyzing the opinions and suggestions of our businessmen, we almost never face issues when for one reason or another, the customs somehow administratively affects on business activity. There are no such facts”, underlined Rustem Khamitov.

The Chief of Volga Customs Directorate also told about a working group created in the republic to support investment projects with the Republic of China.

“Today, the Chinese side considers implementation of 104 investment projects in the Volga Federal District, and 20 investment projects directly in Bashkortostan,” said Sergey Rybkin. “If any decisions are taken, there will be no problems: and regarding the classification of goods and adoption of the customs value index, and the project support through informing, consulting investors.”
