1.6 million sq m of housing were built in Bashkortostan year to date

UFA, 20 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan 1.6 million square meters of housing were commissioned in the first eight months of this year, or 95 percent to 2015 figure.

The total volume of construction works is estimated at 109.7 billion rubles, which is 103.4 percent to the same period of 2015. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Committee RB for Construction and Architecture Khalit Mahmudov at "UralStroyIndustry" forum opened in Ufa today.

In the first seven months of this year Bashkortostan won the first place in the Volga Federal District in residential buildings commissioning, the second in new housing per capita.

As of August 1, a total of over 16 thousand mortgage loans were given in the republic. The level of interest rates on them amounted to 13 percent. This is by 1.2 percentage points lower than a year ago, Khalit Mahmudov stated.
