Bashneft intends to create West-Siberian cluster in Nizhnevartovsk region

UFA, 8 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. On September 7, the PJSOC Bashneft and the administration of the Nizhnevartovsk region of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District (KhMAD) signed a cooperation agreement for 2016-2018, according to the website of the municipality. The document was signed by the head of the Nizhnevartovsk region Boris Salomatin and CEO "Bashneft-Dobycha" LLC Vladimir Ilyasov.

Bashneft has strategic plans on entering the Western and Eastern Siberia regions. On the basis of the Nizhnevartovsk region it is supposed to create a West Siberian cluster.

It is noted that Bashneft and Nizhnevartovsk region of KhMAD have longstanding partnerships. One of the main areas of cooperation is environmental safety and employment.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, as part of its a long-term development program Bashneft plans to nearly double reserves and resources of oil - to 961 million tons by 2025. As a result, by 2030, oil production is expected to grow by 1.8 times - up to 35 million tons compared with the level of 2015.

PJSOC Bashneft is a vertically integrated oil company operating in more than 20 regions of Russia and abroad. At the end of 2015 it ranked sixth among Russian oil companies for oil extraction (19.9 million tonnes) and the fourth — for primary processing (19.1 million tons). As of January 1, 2016 proved oil reserves amounted to 2.32 billion barrels. The company is provided with proven oil reserves for 16.3 years.

The controlling shareholder of Bashneft is the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Property Management Agency (50.08 percent of the authorized capital). The Republic of Bashkortostan owns a blocking stake (25 percent plus one share).
