Interesting facts on results of All-Russian agricultural census in Bashkiria are disclosed

UFA, 5 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. The Bashkortostan Statistics Agency unveiled some interesting facts on the results of the 2016 All-Russia agricultural census in the republic.
During a large-scale statistical survey it was emerged that the population grows exotic for the region walnuts, apricots and pineapples. The number of amateur gardeners allocating to two hundred ares for flowers and growing rare species of plants increased.
Additionally, now ostriches are grown in six districts of the republic, whereas in 2006, these exotic birds were bred only in one district. Peacocks, pheasants, quails, rabbits of unique royal breed "Rex" are grown in three districts. The number of spotted deer, red deer increased. People also started breeding chinchillas.
The All-Russia Agricultural Census 2016 was held from 1 July to 15 August in most regions. During the census more than 734 thousand properties were registered in Bashkortostan, of which 1064 - agricultural organizations, 445 - (peasant) farms and individual entrepreneurs, 694 777 - private farms, 2081 - non-profit associations of citizens, 31 480 - horticultural plots. About 2.5 thousand people, including more than 1800 census takers took part in the campaign.
In remote and inaccessible areas the All-Russian agricultural census will be held from September 15 to November 15 this year. Preliminary results of the census will be summed up in 2017, the final results - in 2018.
