319 investment projects are being prepared and implemented in Bashkortostan now

UFA, 31 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. 319 investment projects with a total investment of 267 billion rubles are at the stage of preparation and implementation in Bashkortostan. This was reported by the Minister of Economic Development Sergey Novikov at a meeting of the Public Council for Investment Climate Improvement under the Head of Bashkortostan.

The main topic of discussion was investment activity of regional municipalities.

According to Sergey Novikov, investment portfolios are developed in all areas of the republic. The practice of creating and maintaining the register of free investment sites is applied, meetings with representatives of the business community with involvement of regional authorities are held. In addition, entrepreneurs’ methodological support regarding state support and other issues is carried out.

Draft regulations developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan and aimed at investment territorial development were presented to participants of the meeting.

One of them provides an Action Plan to strengthen the investment activity of municipalities. It includes items for maintenance investment projects on one-stop shop principle, building cooperation with federal development institutions to attract funds for the implementation of such projects, organization of interaction with key local businesses to review their investment intentions and to assist in solving problems.

Another document defines a procedure of municipal districts and urban districts of Bashkortostan assessment to promote the development of competition and to ensure the conditions for favourable investment climate. Several key criteria are included in the assessment system. Among them there is work with local entrepreneurs, organization of municipal companies monitoring activities, achievement of social and economic development of municipalities.

While making ratings of municipalities such key indicators as turnover of products at small and medium-sized businesses, their number and the number of employees will be taken into account.
