Grain yield in Bashkortostan exceeded planned level

UFA, 30 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Farmers of Bashkortostan harvested about 3.214 million tons of grain till now.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of RB, 11 regions collected more than 100 thousand tons of grain each. At the same time grain farms of Sterlitamak (152 thousand tons), Chekmagush (130 thousand), Ilishevo (128 thousand) and Meleuz (124 thousand) regions milled grain more than others.

All grains and legumes are mowed in the republic on the area of 1.714 million hectares (96 percent), threshed - on 1.7 million hectares (95 percent).

The average yield now stands at 18.9 centners per hectare. Growers of Chekmagush region receiving 30,5 centners of grain per hectare still keep the leadership.
