Grain yield reached nearly 3 million tons in Bashkortostan

UFA, 25 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Farmers of Bashkortostan harvested today 2989 thousand tons of grain. For comparison, a year ago 1 420 000 tones were collected in the region.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB, the most amount of grain is harvested currently by growers of Sterlitamak, Chekmagush, Ilishevo, Meleuz, Aurgazy, Davlekanovo and Chishmy regions.

The average grain yield in the republic is 19.1 centners per hectare. The absolute leader here is Chekmagush region, where 30.2 centners of grain per hectare are obtained.
