Subsidizing primary housing mortgage rates is planned in Bashkiria

UFA, 22 August 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Bashkortostan it is planned to subsidize primary housing mortgage rates to 10 percent and to provide construction companies with loans by the Regional Fund in obtaining debt financing.

In the first six months in Bashkortostan 13.7 thousand mortgage loans are issued in the amount of over 19 billion rubles. This is by 63 percent more than for the same period of the last year. The reason for such a sharp jump was a start of the federal program on interest rates subsidizing.

According to the Chairman of Bashkortostan State Committee for Construction and Architecture Halit Mahmudov, in the first six months of this year, 1.154 million sq m of housing were commissioned in the region. Among the regions of the Volga Federal District Bashkortostan continues to occupy the leading position. The share of the republic in the total volume of new housing for the half year was 3.7 percent. Throughout the country, Bashkortostan ranks sixth behind the Moscow region, Krasnodar, Moscow, Leningrad region and St. Petersburg.

Under the instruction of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov a program of low-cost housing mass construction until 2025 has been developed in the region. The program provides for an increase in the volume of social housing from 300 to 800 thousand sq m in five years. It is divided into two stages: from 2017 to 2021 and from 2022 to 2025.

The main sources of financing will be preferential borrowed assets of OJSC "AHML" (the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending) and federal development institutions. In addition, it is envisaged attracting funds of private pension funds and registration of bond issues, the press service of the Government of Bashkortostan informs.
