Banks have increased new lending by quarter in Bashkiria

In January-May, banks issued loans to customers in Bashkortostan worth 229.75 billion rubles – by 25.2 percent more than in the same period of the last year, it follows from the statistical data of the National Bank RB Ural Main Directorate CBR.

Nearly three-quarters of this amount account for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. For five months they received 165.94 billion rubles, which is 20.5 percent more than for the comparable period of the last year. The population received loans worth 63.81 billion rubles - a growth of 39.4 percent.

The largest volume of loans in absolute figures were received by chemistry enterprises (30.96 billion rubles – by 3.2 more than in January-May 2015), manufacturers of vehicles and equipment (18.72 billion, with an increase of 1.4 times) , coke, oil products and nuclear materials (13.47 billion - an increase of 1.3 times).

At the same time, wholesale and retail trade lending decreased by 18.3 percent compared with January-May last year. The volume of new loans in this type of economic activity amounted to 22.21 billion rubles.

As of June 1, 2016, 78 credit institutions operate in Bashkortostan. Among them there are five republican banks. Loan arrears decreased by 3.3 percent to 649.39 billion rubles for the first five months of the current year. The overdue debt increased by 5.8 percent to 35.87 billion rubles.
