Bashkiria grain growers harvested almost 250 thousand tons of grain

UFA, 25 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Grain growers of Bashkortostan harvested nearly 250 thousand tons of grain. The average grain yield is currently 21.7 centners per hectare, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB reports.

Thus farmers of Chekmagush region harvest more than 30 centners of grain per hectare, farmers of Davlekanovo, Iglino, Kaltasy, Karmaskaly, Meleuz and Chishmy regions - more than 25 centners per hectare.

Farmers of Sterlitamak region collected the largest amount of grain- about 20 thousand tons. Meleuz growers are slightly behind them with more than 17 thousand tons of grain.

Total in the republic grain crops and legumes are mowed now on almost 152 thousand hectares, or on eight percent of areas. 115 thousand hectares of them are threshed (six percent).
