Sterlitamak - Kaga - Magnitogorsk road construction project is recognized as fiscally effective

A large-scale project of public-private partnership for construction of the Sterlitamak - Kaga - Magnitogorsk road successfully passed a stress test and is recognized as fiscally effective. The stress test was carried out in Moscow in the framework of the 2nd Strategic Forum "Transport System of Russia".

It is expected that the Russian Government will approve a method of selection of regional public-private partnership projects by August 15. After that, the regions will be able to apply for funding for the construction of major and promising road facilities.

Our republic had an opportunity to pre-test its potential bid in the framework of the Strategic Forum.

The project envisages a creation of a new road connection with the Chelyabinsk Region. This, in particular, relates to the road reconstruction at the site Sterlitamak - Kaga and the road construction at the site Kaga - Khamitovo - Magnitogorsk.

The Sterlitamak - Kaga - Magnitogorsk road of 170 km length would require 12 billion rubles of investments. The project will last for 15 years, the cars flow - two thousand vehicles per day. The project was initiated by the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Bids for participation in the open tender for the concession agreement on this road construction will be accepted until July 18.
