Charters to Turkey may be launched before end of July

UFA, 9 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Charters to Turkey may be re-started before the end of the month. Such an assumption was made by the Vice-Premier of the Russian Government Arkady Dvorkovich, according to «Izvestiya».
The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an Executive Order amending special measures in relation to Turkey, on June 30. In particular, the ban on sale of tours to this country was lifted.
Earlier, the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov said that charter flights to Turkey would resume in the near future, the work of the government was already under way. However, he said, the Russians still would prefer to travel within the country.
We recall the statement of the intention to restore the charter flights to Turkey was made by Vladimir Putin after the president of this country Tayyip Erdogan sent a letter to the Russian President with an apology for the shooting down Russian bomber Su-24 and the death of its pilot Alexei Pashkov.
The incident happened in November last year, which caused a sharp deterioration in relations between Russia and Turkey, followed by the imposition of sanctions on a number of activities associated with this country.
However, after the apology the Kremlin reported the relations warming and resumption of cooperation with Turkey, including the lifting of the embargo on Turkish products and charter flights. However, it was stressed that this cooperation should be without detriment to Russian companies which took up the niche during the crisis in relations with Turkey.
