Ufa Gidravlika plans to produce new auxiliary power unit for MC-21

UFA, 21 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency,Olesya Seregina/. The Expert Council of the Industrial Development Fund has approved a proposal for funding Technodinamika holding project of the Rostec State Corporation for the development and serial delivery of auxiliary power unit TD-901. 300 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the project. The total project cost is estimated at 1 billion 126 million rubles. The holding will finance the remaining sum in the amount of 825.9 million by itself, the press service of Technodinamika informs.

Serial production of the new auxiliary power unit is scheduled to begin in 2020. The project envisages a test stand establishment at Ufa Gidravlika Company, which also will house a production. The project will create 300 high-performance and high-tech jobs.

The auxiliary power unit TD-901 is one of the developments of Technodinamika for the new Russian passenger airliner MC-21. As the head of Technodinamika Maxim Kuzyuk states "the financing of this project is crucial for the Russian aviation industry". Today, the auxiliary power unit made in the USA is used in production of the Russian aircrafts; its share in the domestic market is 62 percent. Thus, the new development will allow avoiding dependence on foreign suppliers.
