Subsistence level increased - Bashkortostan Ministry of Labour

UFA, 20 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. In Russia, the minimum subsistence level per capita in the first quarter of 2016 is set at 9776 rubles, for able-bodied population - 10 524 rubles, pensioners - 8025 rubles, children - 9677 rubles.
Meanwhile, according to Rosstat, the consumer price index on average for the first quarter of this year amounted to 102.3 percent, compared with the previous quarter.
Average prices for food products included in the consumer basket changed differently in the reported quarter compared with the previous one.
Thus, the prices for potatoes and horticultural products increased: fresh cabbage - by 20.9 percent; carrots - by 10.2; beetroot - by 7; onions – by 4.5; potatoes - by 3.4.
While polished rice price fell by 0.6 percent. Dairy products prices rose insignificantly.
At the same time the price of pork decreased (except for boneless meat) – by 4.1 percent; chicken (except chicken legs) – by 2.4; beef (except for boneless meat) – by 1 percent.
The nationwide quarterly minimum subsistence level does not affect the scope of measures of social support to people. It is necessary mainly to monitor the standard of living, to evaluate the implementation of the federal target programs.
To provide state social assistance to needy citizens and various regional measures of social support, including families with children, the minimum subsistence level set in the subject of the Russian Federation is used.
Recall that in Bashkortostan the subsistence minimum for the first quarter of this year was set at 8691 rubles.
