New Development Bank BRICS is interested in East exit road construction in Ufa

UFA, 16 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. The New Development Bank BRICS is interested in East exit road construction in Ufa. It is reported by the press-service of the Government.

Today, on June 16 in St. Petersburg within the framework of the 20th International Economic Forum a meeting of the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov with the President of New Development Bank BRICS Kundapur Vaman Kamatkh was held. Potential investors were presented a draft concession agreement for the construction of the East exit road from the capital of the republic to the M-5 "Ural" federal highway, including a road tunnel, a bridgework over the river Ufa, a part of the road from the bridgework to the federal highway. According to the press-service of the Government of the region, now a financial model of the construction of the new facility is being worked out. The facility design and construction period will not exceed four years. The total length of the road is approximately 16 kilometers. The designed stream of cars is ten thousand vehicles per day. The road will be toll. The tolls for the passage will come to the republican budget, and financial costs will be returned to the concessionaires of the project from it.

The President of the New Development Bank BRICS, Mr. Kamatkh expressed his interest in the Ufa project and assured that their experts would carefully examine it in terms of granting loans for future concessionaires in the near future.

In addition, the Deputy Finance Minister of Russia Sergey Storchak, who also took part in the meeting, did not rule out a possibility of additional federal funding of the Ufa project.
