Fiscal deficit of Bashkortostan capital dropped by more than half in 2015

UFA, 31 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Deficit of Bashkortostan capital budget fell by more than half last year - from 3.1 billion to 1.35 billion rubles. Revenues of the city treasury have not changed significantly. The deputies of the City Council approved the execution of the Ufa budget of 2015 on Tuesday, May 31.

Initially, the financial document was adopted with the following main indicators: revenues - 16 billion rubles, expenditures - 16.8 billion, the deficit - 800 million. However, the city managed to earn and receive from higher level budgets more funds than planned. As a result, the actual budget of 2015 was executed with the following indicators: revenues - 22.3 billion rubles, expenditures - 23.65 billion.

The largest sources of Ufa budget replenishment in 2015 were: personal income taxes (4.5 billion rubles), use of municipal or state property (2.5 billion) lumpsum tax (1.2 billion), property tax (900 million), sale of tangible and intangible assets (1.4 billion), grants from the republican and federal budgets (11 billion rubles). The remaining items of the city budget revenues are relatively small.

The bulk of the spending was traditionally accounted for education - 9.7 billion rubles. Other major items of expenditures were housing and communal services (4.9 billion), national economy (5 billion), the national security and law enforcement activities (905 million), social policy (593 million). The city spent quite small funds on physical education and sport (192 million), media (75 million).
