"Clusters are a good option to address import substitution issues" - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 27 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Bashkortostan real steps for the formation of clusters are made. This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in his interview for the "Interfax" Agency.

"We provide administrative support to creation of such networks. Finally, we have already managed at an informal level, to combine the interests of a number of companies: low-tonnage chemistry, engineering, equipment for the petrochemical industry", marked the Head of the Region.

According to the Head of Bashkortostan now an oil refining cluster is being created, which will include the major enterprises. This is a new platform and new opportunities for communication and joint products promotion, coordinated activity in the market.

In his opinion, the crisis has not made a negative impact on this process. On the contrary, "the companies now are trying to hang together, and clusters in this case are a good possibility of sharing equipment, addressing issues of import, provision of mutual assistance".
