Bashneft is included in forecast plan of federal property privatization

UFA, 27 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Bashneft is included in a forecast plan of the federal property privatization. The list of joint stock companies, in which the Russian Federation ceases to have stake in 2014-2016, is supplemented by the position concerning PJSOC "Bashneft". The corresponding decree was published on the website of the Russian Government.

The decision aims to increase revenues to the federal budget of the Russian Federation from privatization of property and creation of conditions for attracting investment in the Bashneft company.

50.08 percent stake in the oil company belongs to the federal property, 25 percent plus one share to Bashkortostan.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, the Bashneft had been excluded from the list of strategic enterprises. The decision was made by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Yesterday, the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov stated in an interview for "Interfax-Volga" Agency that Bashkortostan had no plans to sell its 25 percent stake in Bashneft owned by the Government of the republic.
