UFA, 17 May 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. The regional "Safe City" project includes 18 different systems ranging from speed cameras to monitoring in the sphere of housing and communal services. This was announced by the chairman of the State Committee RB for information technology and the "Open Republic" system functioning Rinat Shagalin at the discussion panel held within the framework of the All-Russian competition of the regional and municipal information technology projects "PROF-IT-2016". After completion of the information subsystems implementation the electronic data will be available that can be combined in a specific application.
"Now the "Safe City" project in the majority of subjects of the Russian Federation is realized mainly through the introduction of speed cameras, safety and security arrangements. Projects where payments are carried out, such as fines, are more suitable for a format of public-private partnerships,” marked Rinat Shagalin. “But when we get an opportunity to generate additional financial instruments it will be possible to implement socially significant projects, such as public security cameras - more than 150 of them were installed for the SCO and BRICS summits, as well as to carry out environmental monitoring".
