Bashkortostan Government and Sberbank will continue to co-operate in socio-economic sphere

UFA, 28 April 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. The Government of Bashkortostan and Sberbank signed an agreement on cooperation in the socio-economic sphere. The ceremony of signing the document by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Republic Rustem Mardanov and the Chairman of the Ural Bank of Sberbank Vladimir Cherkashin took place on April 27.

The agreement provides for cooperation of the Government RB and Sberbank in implementation of priority national, federal, regional and sectoral projects and joint efforts to create a favourable investment climate in Bashkortostan.

"Sberbank is already planned to participate in almost all major investment projects that are now available here. The most important of them are construction of road infrastructure, production facilities in the agricultural sector, in the sphere of metallurgy, chemistry and petrochemistry", said Rustem Mardanov.

The Prime Minister of the Government RB expressed his hope for active participation of Sberbank in implementation of the housing program in the republic and especially in retail lending.

The Chairman of the Ural Bank of Sberbank Vladimir Cherkashin recalled that the President, Chairman of the Board German Gref and the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov signed the first cooperation framework agreement in 2011.

According to Rustem Mardanov, the previous agreement has been successfully implemented. Under the agreement, in 2015 Sberbank financed the largest investment projects in the republic. Among them, there were three projects of "Gazprom neftekhim Salavat", construction of almost all new hotels in Ufa, as well as implementation of mortgage programs with state support.
