Bashkortostan Economic Development Minister discussed regional investment development issues in Moscow

UFA, 27 April 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Minister of Economic Development of Bashkortostan Sergey Novikov held in Moscow a series of meetings with experts from federal authorities and institutions for the development of investment activity.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development RB, in the course of the meetings it was discussed a possibility of receiving benefits of financial support by the republican industrial enterprises. Currently, the program involves three major regional projects of petrochemical industry.

Work on the further development of mono-cities of Bashkortostan was discussed with the Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank, the head of the Working Group on Modernizing Mono Cities under the Governmental Commission on Economic Development and Integration Irina Makieva. The parties also announced further steps to establish areas of advancing socio-economic development in single-industry towns Kumertau and Belebey.

Possibilities of establishing special economic zones in the republic were considered at the meeting with participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of RB - Chief of Staff of the Government RB Ilshat Tazhitdinov and CEO of the Development Corporation RB Artem Kireev and the director of the Department of Regional Development of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Igor Egorov.

In addition, during the meeting in the Russian Ministry of Economic Development issues related to support of priority investment projects of Bashkortostan on the basis of project financing were discussed. The Ministry of Economic Development of Bashkortostan formed a list of major investment projects - potential participants of the program, which implementation is planned until 2020. The list includes projects in the field of agriculture, chemical industry, as well as in the field of metallurgy and woodworking.
