It is planned to increase the subsistence minimum in Russia
UFA, 19 April 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The value of the subsistence minimum will be increased by 3.4 percent in the first quarter of this year.
According to the draft resolution of the Russian Government, the minimum subsistence level per capita in the first quarter 2016 is proposed in the sum of 9776 rubles, for able-bodied population - 10 524 rubles, pensioners – 8025 rubles, children - 9677.
The subsistence minimum per capita and the main socio-demographic groups (working-age population, pensioners, children) nationwide and in the regions is determined quarterly on the basis of the consumer basket and Rosstat data on the level and consumer price indices.
According to Rosstat, the consumer price index on average for the I quarter 2016 amounted to 102.3 percent compared to the previous quarter. The cost of food, as part of the minimum subsistence level per capita, increased by 3.4 percent.
The index of consumer prices for food products amounted to 103.2 percent. The cost of non-food products per capita increased by 3.7 percent, the cost of services - by 3.8 percent.
